How Our Levels Work
Every student starts somewhere — here's the path. Three levels, and one way to move up: Dennis promotes you when your dancing is ready.
Level 1 — Foundations.
Basics, timing, core turns and turn patterns, styling, body isolations, and connection — plus the real skill: leading or following different partners and adjusting to each one. New combinations every 4-week session, so you can repeat Level 1 and keep sharpening — it's never the same class twice.
Level 2 — Refinement & Speed.
Same 4-week rhythm, more detail and faster combinations. You need timing, counts, turns, and lead/follow down — and if it's moving too fast, Dennis moves you back to Level 1 until you're solid. It's not a step down; it's how you actually get better.
Level 3 — Performance Team.
Our performing group. Rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays at the studio, performs at our Friday socials (1st and 3rd Fridays) and at clubs — and trains toward competitions.
How promotion works.
No tests, no sign-ups. Dennis watches you in class, in private lessons, and at the socials — and when you're ready, he comes to you. New to us from another school? Start at the level you think fits; Dennis may adjust you up or down so you're in the class where you'll improve fastest.
